A First Day Hike is a fun and healthy way to kick off the New Year. As you travel a trail, you’ll see and hear nature all around you and feel great spending time in the fresh air.

This raccoon resident was spotted by staff, busy digging up some garbage left behind.
It's important for the health of animals and plants (and humans) that garbage and dog waste be deposited in provided bins.

Some stay put like this plucky little Fox Sparrow, perfectly suited to the forest at Springwater Provincial Park; eating seeds, and grasses that poke through the snow.

The 94th Remembrance Day Springwater Cenotaph Ceremony will take place on November 11, 2023.
Vehicle permits are not required to attend the event.
Please arrive for 10:30am and gather at the cenotaph.
Parking directions will be provided on arrival.
Please do not bring dogs.
