Last real season as a regular was very, very, good. Concerns is a struggle for game time since, with injuries destroying last season for him. Also worry what the plan would be when everyones fit/if its a necessary signing/if it blocks Franczaks pathway for short term gain.

Definitely feel like things ramped up towards the end of the window, with the "final batch" of McAlear, Mallan, Fotheringham, and Smith, being real game changers in terms of quality and fan belief. Possibly another "batch" to go, with Forrester + free agents.

Interested to see how Kirk gets on in England. A lot of potential but also a lot of weaknesses still. Think hes bulked up a bit and was looking more refined in the brief flashes we saw of him this season, mind you. A shame he had to go as could've offset County keeping Hale.

Think the line about potential loan signings not being taken by the club suggests they believe they have this under control. Whether they believe Lloyd added to the attack will be enough, or a free agent is good enough and gettable, the rest of the window should earn them faith.

Made these so im going to use them, despite the haters 😂 A potentially career defining loan for Steven. Previous loan to Alloa showed League One as one he could excel at, Championship the next step. Done fantastically well to be as good as he was at LB/LWB for us last season.

Still early but we do seem very strong this season. Morton play the fewest passes in the division (so far) and also give up some of the best chances. Players are clinical tomorrow then they should get a goal. Last 3 goals Morton have conceded have come from corners.

Lack of minutes means nothing for 2025 season, but 2024 showed a solid RB who done the simple stuff well, but maybe didnt involve himself enough in attack. This was in a 4-2-3-1 Latterly at United played RCB in a back 3. But looking at his Championship season shows what we want

I've updated my Championship Power Ratings after the weekend's games. This uses an approach similar to Chess or Tennis to show the strongest team based on head-to-head results. Thistle are currently third in the Championship based on this, behind St Johnstone and Raith Rovers

Felt an obvious target from the start, and fits the right side of our midfield (as discussed here - medium.com/@StAnalysis/at…) perfectly in terms of being a half winger/half 10. Liam Smith ticks the FB box too and should be solid. Strongest squad we've had in years.

As sloppy as we've been this season, particularly in the opening and final 15 minutes. Some complacency creeping in there amongst a few players that needs stubbed out before it costs us. Scary how good we seem to be, though. Arbroath a good side but that was very comfortable.

Stumbled upon this again tonight so updated it. A win tomorrow puts Valakari level with Connolly (?!) in terms of win %. Manage to win the next 2 and he goes above Lomas Top 3 remain the "gold standard" for St Johnstone managers though, and thats the levels we need to him to hit
