today the Devizes COVID-19 Support group has had a request to pick up medication for an asthmatic nurse, too busy working to queue at the pharmacy. The work that frontline NHS workers are doing is incredible, they are risking their lives, I'm so glad we are able to support them.

Devizes town clerk Simon Fisher tells me his team of staff & volunteers are taking 100 calls a day from people needing medicines & shopping. To meet this need they deploy volunteers organised by @StJamesDevizes church who go to chemist and shops so vulnerable people can stay home

Thank you to all DC19S volunteers for making this stuff happen...especially to the 2 volunteers who had been queuing for hours to get meds for 2 vulnerable and long-term isolated Devizes neighbours.

Massively impressed with @StJamesDevizes church and with the Town Council who have rowed in behind the church’s effort to mobilise the community in support of isolated people. Here’s the team - keeping their distance from me cos I’ve been in london ;)

There are many special moments that come with being the vicar at St James. Yesterday I get to do one of them - to lead prayers during the act of Remembrance at @DevizesSchool. The school do a brilliant job of helping our young people not forget. The prayer is below.
