I’m eating lab grown meat the second it’s mass market ready. It’s biologically identical to animal meat and will reduce suffering more than any technology in the history of our planet as long as enough people switch over from factory farmed meats.

Today is the anniversary of large, impactful floods we had in Vermont in both 2023 and 2024 - the worst floods the state had seen in decades, back to back years, on the same days. There seems to be risk of flooding tonight, and you can feel the anxiety in the air.

I've spent the past month becoming friends with my neighborhood crows. It brings me quite a bit of joy, and they seem to appreciate their visits - I'm the only guy in the neighborhood who thinks to give them a few blueberries. Most prefer the peanuts still, though.
