These statements are all true. Crystal Palace should have got a Guehi replacement sooner. Liverpool should have moved properly earlier. Palace shouldn't have accepted late bid. Glasner is right to be angry at the thought of losing his captain without a replacement

Marc Guehi is only 25, his contract is up in a year (so he can still have a “dream” move) and he’s at a Premier League club competing in Europe which has won two trophies in the past six months. He will survive.

I’m convinced that there isn’t another club who could win the FA Cup & Community Shield, be on their longest EVER unbeaten run as a top flight side and simultaneously self-destruct as spectacularly as Crystal Palace FC. This level of self-sabotage is an art form you can’t teach.

To lose either Eze or Guehi was a shame but expected. To sell both in the same window is poor and unnecessary unless we’re in dire straits. To sell both, one with only hours left in the window, against the manager’s wishes, with no replacement is gross negligence
