Important to remember that new code is not always better code. On March 8, 2017 the potentially devastating CVE inflation bug was released into Core version 14. It wasn’t fixed for 1.5 years. Over which time anyone running a 2 year old node was running better software.

People naturally think UTXOracle is a clever trick to identify the price on chain, which is fine. But it's much more than that. The full history of bitcoin transactions is primarily a record of bitcoin's purchasing power. It's not a trick and it's not even clever really.
