“IDA pharmacy manager told RCMP patients are given up to 28 hydromorphone pills per day "which equated to approx. $440 or $480 a day" if resold.” $440/day $13K/month $158K/year per person ? 274 Londoners on SS $120K/day $3.6M/month $43M/year #LdnOnt ?? cbc.ca/news/canada/br…
Hi Councillor @StevensonLDN ! 28 pills per day is within a typical range for Safe supply patients due to their exceptionally high opioid tolerance resulting from street level fentanyl However your math seems to be off! In your post here, the dilaudid pills would be $16 per pill However, you recently posted an article claiming dilaudid pills were $5/pill (from the @lpsmediaoffice media release no less…) AND you’ve posted articles claiming dilaudid pills are $1-2 per pill (remember you said it was cheaper than a Tallboy of beer?) The street value of dilaudid 8mg in London is around 2$ per pill But mostly what I’m astounded by here, is your assumption that every Safe Supply patient in #ldnont is selling their full prescription Beyond the deep stigma present in that assumption, it simply isn’t true. Peer reviewed published evidence shows us the benefits of Safe Supply dosing, not present in matched controls Also…. Come on Councillor. Seriously? Your biases are on full display here

@StevensonLDN How did we get from ONE WOMAN in BC to the terrible math French Connection here @StevensonLDN ? #fearmongering
@StevensonLDN Police always give the highest possible street value estimates when it comes to drugs, sold per the lowest unit in the most expensive markets. It makes busts sound more impressive, but always raises eyebrows (and sometimes laughs) with anyone familiar with the actual drug market.
@StevensonLDN Did you ask WHY people might be selling their stuff, what they're spending the money on? Housing, food - all the other unaffordable stuff to marginalized people - I don't know but I don't think you can just post something like this without sounding biased
@StevensonLDN Those are retail prices. They sell wholesale for about $1 each. The patients are desperate and unwell. The retailers make the profit.
@StevensonLDN Are you really asking a question here or just building mistrust and division through your innuendos?
@StevensonLDN You don’t even have to go to work to make a six figure salary
@StevensonLDN But only about 3 million pills annually in that little town, why worry 🤔
