Desire to develop is important to coaches. If ability is somewhat close, passion to develop is deciding factor at every level. Pop says “get over yourself”.

Really good free throw shooters typically have short routines b4 shooting. 5-6 dribbles and long pauses is too much.

Walk-on vs. Preferred walk-on? If they give scholarships and you are not getting one, I think they “prefer” the players they gave scholarships to. Go where you can play and they want you!
When a prospect goes to the place that recruited them hardest and knows them best, it usually works out. When they don’t, it usually doesn’t. Common sense...

The keys to success at high academic d3 for hoop 1. Be prepared for season (in great shape yr round) 2. Work ethic outside of required activities (be a gym rat) 3. Love to play and compete bcuz you love game). 4. Know this level will eat you up and make you quite if no 1-3.
