3/3 People in Scotland are more likely to have a stroke than elsewhere in the UK, but someone in Scotland is also more likely to die from it (blue line in this graph). If anything positive can come from these figures it is surely the resolution that we must do better on stroke??
2/3 We know people in deprived communities are more likely to have a stroke, with a wide range of socio-economic and historical factors at play here. But it is particularly concerning that this health inequality gap is increasing over time #stroke #healthinequality

On Friday I visited the Stroke Rehab Centre at @UniStrathclyde It was great to see the pioneering work on stroke rehabilitation led by Dr Andy Kerr and supported by @CHSScotland This sort of rehabilitation can help patients in their recovery and improve their lives.
