I wish I'd picked up on the fact that the only reason for the confrontation was that my friend was Brown. Everything else was smoke and mirrors. Same situation repeatedly in the past, and always just fine. But always with Anglos, Caucasians, WHITE-folks. I'm pissed. At myself.
