Heartbreaking case in the ER last night: Just as my shift was coming to a close, a young child presents with full blown rabies. They had progressed in just 3 days. Hid it from the parents for 2 days before becoming symptomatic. Can we tackle the stray dog issue now, at least?

Petition to include BLS as part of every middle school biology class, because it costs essentially nothing, and leads to lives saved. @ncert @MoHFW_INDIA @WHO @RealDoctorMike has been advocating this for a long time, and it's about time schools started teaching useful skills.

Indian gov't is buying a subscription to 13,000 academic journals, and then making them all available to "18 million students, faculty, and researchers" for free. The cost is $715 million over 3 years. It includes Elsevier, Nature, and AAAS. Have any other countries done this?

I wonder if it is time now for India to create T2DM prophylactic lifestyle change regimens that start even during childhood. It's such a major burden on our healthcare system. The number of thin T2DM patients is just staggering.

It will. We know that for a lot of pain disorders, pharmacological interventions always carry the risk of replacing one problem with another. Things like tDCS and TMS need more visibility.

Question for #Neurotwitter : Why does the ICHD-3 call anything a primary headache? Is there any headache that just cannot have a secondary cause? TN, Cluster headaches, EF everything may have secondary causes, and we always investigate to rule them out. What am I missing?

Really enjoyed reading Why Fly oer the Cuckoo's Nest? by Dr @Afdesalles this weekend. A must read for anyone aspiring to go into functional. I've not been reading many improving books since I got into medicine, but man was this one well worth the weekend!
