DC, we shouldn’t be dealing with this. Since we don’t have a choice, know your rights. ✅You can film an arrest in public as long as you don’t interfere. ✅If LE asks you to step back, film yourself complying. ✅Use a passcode & don’t provide it w/o a warrant.

Real talk to Hill/gov staff today: Proactively take care of yourselves and each other. Law enforcement deserve our gratitude and respect but don’t assume they have your safety covered. Watch for threats to yourselves, coworkers, bosses and employees. Speak up.

USCP sent two officers who said this type of issue will be common now that the buildings are open. Their advice: Use your duress button as soon as you feel worried about safety. Don't wait on an explicit threat. Stay safe.
