Today I am embarrassed for so called leftists who wrote this letter. After three years of incredible lawyering for the case, something our own lawyer was not pushing for, we got cases of missing IDS before the honorable judges of the supreme court, and we got the issue resolved.
We got the United Nations to visit Gujjar and Orangi Nullah. Our team won a case against the world bank project sweep. Our work in court got rental cheques to the tune of 1 Arab 50 lacs issued to Gujjar and Orangi Mutasirin. We negotiated with every department through dialogue.
Laikin yeh woh log hain jo Apne hissae ki shama Nahin Jala paein tu doosron ke kaam par ownership aur badnam Karna. That's why out leftists resemble state tactics of silencing and marginalizing. Cutting off citizens and lawyers from their work. Trying and failing.
After their rude and illegal cooptation of Karachi Bachao Tehreek, they didn't stop. They tried to destroy the unity of Orangi, they stopped the worngful death work, they interefered with my case work, and now they have resorted to the dirtiest tactics ever.
They can't target men so they tried to coopet the men but when the leaders of Orangi stood behind us as did the residents of Gujjar and Orangi, they got bewildered that the people of Karachi actually accept women as leaders and that too Christian women, not just lawyer women.
