@SusanDavidsonM2 It was made clear in the SARS 2003 Report that the Precautionary Principle should be applied, not RCTs particularly when in a crisis and the goal is to preserve lives. Unfortunately, it turned out the leaders/decision makers ignored the recommendations in the report.

@JennaACunninham @ChristineGuent8 The engineering and science behind N95 and clean air did not change when the pandemic hit. What happened is decision makers with power realized that actually deploying countermeasures for airborne was going to be hard and expensive. So they threw proverbial sticks in wheels.

@JennaACunninham The limited supply of N95s did not justify telling the public that they shouldn't wear them. They should have been told: "N95s are the best. We don't have enough of them. So, for the time being, do the best you can with the best mask you can get and wear."
