WATCH & Support: We must stand up for Afghanistan's women & girls who suffer grotesque abuse under Taliban rule. The letter from @ToniaAntoniazzi to @ECB_cricket calling for a boycott of the Feb 26 match against Afghanistan. Speaking on @JeremyVineOn5 #JeremyVine
to be honest I am sending you tons and tons sham on you. We were a strong part of the coalition forces in Afghanistan leading by the United States of America, British army, NATO and other allies and all these mentioned force was not able to defeat the Taliban and finally you and us together escaped from Afghanistan and left the Afghan people and most of your alliance left behind. Now you expecting from just 11 cricket players to defeat the Taliban and accept to give all the rights to the womens? In the history of England I am watching some shameful politics members who are bagging from cricket players to restore the woman rights in Afghanistan. If you are really wants to restore the women rights, education and others why you don't talk with Taliban directly in Doha or in united Nation? @SuzyStride1
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Did you talked to the Afghan women in Afghanistan about their rights? What they want and what are their concerns? Do you think boycotting Afghan Cricket will solve their problems? Or few contractors by the name of Afghan women in the west are misleading you.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 You must stand up for Afghanistan’s women and girls by doing the right thing: urging your government to join other countries in taking the Taliban to the ICC. It’s absurd to make a fuss over just a cricket game while ignoring the real issues.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 You need to learn ab d reality. I wonder if u raised ur voice when the Doha deal was signed. Failed political policies should be blamed on politicians, not on the cricket team with no value for Taliban. As an Afghan woman, #ILoveAfghanCricket and #ISupportAfghanCricket @ICC
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 it will punish the Afghan people and players who have no control over the political situation. Sports should remain a bridge for unity, not a tool for exclusion.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Great job Suzy. The ICC must permanently ban the Afghanistan mens team until they overturn the order against allowing on Women’s
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Our cricket team symbolizes pride, unity, & progress for all Afghans, men & women. Players often speak out for girls’ education & challenge Taliban ideologies in many ways. Many star players are currently living out Afg. Banning them only aids the Taliban’s oppressive agenda.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Suzy I am watching GBN, please stop screeching and saying do you know what I mean, so irritating
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 The Taliban banned schools, and now you’ve banned cricket. 01 - 01
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Cricket is the only way to bring happiness and smiles to the faces of Afghan people. It unites a nation torn by conflict and offers hope amidst despair. Banning cricket with Afghanistan will not solve the issue of the Taliban; instead,
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Well said Suzy ! . And HNY .
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Cricket is our red line
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 This is not the only way to stand with Afghan women, why don’t you peruse other ways to put the government under pressure.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 "The Afghan cricket team operates independently of the Taliban and represents the Republic's flag, not the Taliban regime. It's important to separate the players and their efforts to bring pride to their nation from the actions of the political regime."
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Afghanistan cricket team is beacon of resilience and inspiration for all afghans boycotting the team is absolutely nonsense and illogical you can’t expect the players to fight Taliban and by the way Taliban also trying to ban the team so what’s deference between u and them?
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 U are shocking yourself. Where were u when the shameful Doha deal was signed? When Afghanistan was handed over to the Talibs? U hypocrites hiding ur failures in the teen girls raping and killing cases by bringing this irrelevant issue on the table #ILoveAfghanistanCricket
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Listen you created the mess in Afghanistan. The @UKLabour started these conflicts the @Conservatives withdrew like it did and left it in a mess. You cannot call to boycott now, you knew exactly what was going to happen. The Taliban were not in power before we invaded remember!!
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Mind your own beeswax
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 It’s an English game but no cricket Asian game not No other Western countries if you’ve been banned you can’t do nothing they will play in Dubai India Pakistan Bangladesh more countries
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Cricket is a source of unity and pride for all Afghans,regardless of differences. The Afghanistan cricket team represents the hopes and dreams of a nation. We urge you not to let politics interfere with sports. Let’s support these players who bring joy and inspiration to millions
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 thanks for your support
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Opposing cricket cannot solve the problems of Afghan women. Some selfish people want to use your power to achieve their own goals.
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Is there no other way to punish Taliban for their violation of human rights? ban Taliban, stop sending them dollars ... Taliban don't care about cricket banning it will please them instead. it will take the only remaining achievement of 20 years international involvement.
And why? Because Biden withdrew US troops with little warning from Afghanistan forcing the British military to withdraw suddenly as well with little warning. Leaving women and girls to the Taliban. Left wing decisions as usual having disastrous consequences for the people they think they are helping. @GBNEWS
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Have you ever spoke about the crimes committed by the British soldiers against the Afghans? Stop the bandwagon. The cricket team has no control over the policies made by the government! casebook.icrc.org/case-study/uni…
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Serious question. Did you used to be a dude
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Have you done same against Israel?. Taliban are stopping women but Israel is killing them along with their children?. Are you a typical white hypocrate who targets weak people? Or you have guts to speak against a powerful nation who is doing worse?..
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 The British gov inhumanly treat Afghan refugee women in the UK and force them to go back to Afg and then wants to ban cricket team to help the Afg women. I am confused. Stop sending the $ bags… that seems more efficient I guess!!!
@SuzyStride1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @ECB_cricket @JeremyVineOn5 Say South Africa again, that’s an amazing accent!
