It's wild how people born before video games had no childhood culture they just threw rocks at eachother or died jumping into shallow ponds
Before video games were invented, children were barely-conscious beings living in perpetual twilight. nih.gov/news-events/ne…
@SwiftOnSecurity I lived by a creek with a little bridge and I would look under that bridge everyday for trolls... little did I know back then
@SwiftOnSecurity Don’t forget the poor kids who had to swing on ropes over pits of quicksand in the actual world!
@SwiftOnSecurity We learned to shoot a .22 rifle and went hunting. We limbed trees, made rope swings and our own version of a zip line.
@SwiftOnSecurity don't forget blowing things up, building dangerous things, lawn darts dipped in gasoline, and learning about "just-in-time" first aid
@SwiftOnSecurity Well, the first video game was 'Tennis for two' played on the oscilloscope in 1958. So, you left out rolling hoops with a stick, dipping girl's hair in ink wells, WWII, WWI, working in steam powered factories for 23 cents a week, and randomly being murdered by highwaymen. :D
