Two good executions today $BTBD and $STI for +13% account. Was ready for $AIHS too, but unfortunately didn't find locates on my second broker (first one didn't have buying power anymore).

Traded $UUU $MYLS $CARM for breakeven.

Excellent progress during the weekend 💪. Backtested a new promising setup that I hope start trading this week. Also opened a new brokerage account API so that I can test out automating the setups. Today the market is closed, so good for doing coding on the platform.

I decided up my backtesting setup and data repostory. Whole day spent on migrating the old system from sqlite to psql and adding some new calculated metrics. Thought Claude would help me optimize, but it just wasted hours chasing the wrong things.

Also I've decided that I will start automating my trades. I reviewed my trades from last few weeks and I have come to the realization that *I am the weakest link in the execution* 😅

Today taking a break from trading, and looking at my backtesting setup and data. Will spend the the weekend working on some ideas for new system trades.

Final tally for the day. Execution was sloppy. As I was taking positions without a system, I ended up making rushed decisions. Even though my initial reads were good, I ended up second guessing and getting out of positions that would have been profitable.

Another trading day. No system trades triggered, so did some discretionary trading, and like usual, should have gone long when shorted and wise versa 😅. $STSS $PTNM $NBY $AZTR $NAMI Reminder to stick with the system trades.

Today traded $ALLR $OCG and $HKPD for some profit. A little bit recovery from my yesterday's catastrophe.

The learnings so far after --- keep to the system and and predefined SL limits. Already about -50% drawdown, due two 3 setups where I was not willing to let go. $INHD yesterday and $THAR and $APM last week.

The journey started 2 weeks ago - so I have setup tools and systems for research, backtesting, market signals and investing already. Many of the tools I've built myself (background in data mining), but using others too.

Decided to join X and start to documenting my learning journey towards profitable systems trading. I will be building a playbook and supporting systems (tools) as I go. I was inspired by @Jeppez420 systematic approach and hope to follow suit!
