Aerial spraying will commence tonight, August 14, 2025, through the weekend, ending on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Spraying will begin at approximately 8 PM, and will focus primarily on the Summerfield area.

From the LA DOTD: The overnight Houma Tunnel Closure scheduled for July 31 and August 1 has been cancelled due to the Dularge Bridge closure.
LA DOTD announces additional closure of Houma Tunnel. The Houma Tunnel will be closed overnight from 8 PM to 5 AM on Thursday, July 31 and Friday, August 1, 2025, for cleaning.

LA DOTD crews have begun a road resurfacing project on LA 24 (both sides of the bayou) between St. Charles Street and Howard Avenue. There will be alternating lane closures Monday - Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM. The estimated completion of this project is February 2026.
