@AABB There could be value in considering other parameters, but as @TZThompsonMD said earlier today, if suddenly all blood collectors need flow cytometry to evaluate one of those parameters, there is increased staffing need and cost to produce/qualify a product. #AABBjc

@AABB @chloeirena A3: I wonder if there will be validation studies for Amicus... This was most concerning to me from the results of this study, "PCs prepared by Amicus had the relatively high percentage of destroyed platelet, activated platelets and PMPs than other groups." #AABBjc

@AABB A2: Yes, BUT not necessarily in terms of WB-derived or apheresis. I think that some patient populations would tolerate PAS products more readily & that other populations would benefit from PR platelets. Of course, HLA-matching and plt XM are a different story 😊 #AABBjc
