Good news and bad news! TapScape gameplay mechanics/programming is more or less finished. Bad news: the game has no graphic artist anymore and remote freelance artists turned out to be quite hard to work with.

Would you like the gameplay of TapScape to be more idle (#runescape like) or more active? A good example would be fishing: Idle = lean back and wait until fished enough Active = pull out the rod at the right time #gamedev #gamedesign

Also new in Tapscape v0.4: - Boss enemies. Bosses are stronger monsters that can drop more valuable rewards and/or are requirements for progression. On top of that they can also make use of special abilities like shield, heal, enrage, stun or lifeleech 🤕

New in Tapscape v0.4: - Hide spots (e.g. tall grass, movable boulders) that can reveal items, stuff and mainly monsters. Searching the grass definitely brings back #pokemon memories.

Working on the shops feature. 👨‍💻 Spend gold to buy all sort of items from TapScape. 🛡️🗡️🥘. Later you will be able to construct your own shop on a spot and list items for simulated players to buy. 💰💰💰 #gamedev #osrs #tapscape #rs

You can find various dungeons in TapScape. With different monsters, obstacles and traps inside. The joy of opening a good loot chest in the end might be worth the effort, though!

Surprise 🎁 The #development of TapScape is done using #react, specifically #reactNative and not with a game engine like #unity or #UnrealEngine. Though it runs very smooth.
