I went in-house. Hired 21 individuals in the last three months. Access is everything. Which is why I was so bullish on embedded during my tenure @flawless and @JobMobz . But the market is shifting. Recruiting is vast. Before you commit ask what solutions they provide.

Lemme tell you! The learning curve was HIGH when I first joined Flawless. However, I found that I don't have to know how the code works...but be able to understand the complexity of the problem the client is solving. And...then tell a good story around it!

All the signs point to 2024 seeing a large uptick in Tech hiring. This is further supported by multiple analysts predicting at least 3-4 Fed rate cuts in 2024. Which if you've been following me for any length of time you know that I've constantly shared rate cuts historically…

Had a client ask me why my candidates are better than other recruiters. I told him they don’t have a candidate quality problem. They have a process problem. Because I’m fractionally embedded I just manage their opportunities. Fwiw with the right structure this is repeatable

I come from extreme poverty. Mom Is schizophrenic & dad was a drug dealer back in the day. I was lucky that I had an intense self respect from childhood on. I knew my environment sucked. But I also knew that if I surrounded myself with the right people I’d be ok. #restishistory

Today I had to try to explain to a VP a few times that we don’t have to negotiate with the candidate. I had closed him throughout and knew what his yes number was. He told me how to negotiate it. I closed it in a min and then waited to tell them we closed it lol.

With strong candidates I tend to always move to text. Less formal. More likely to get buy in from them and easy access for them to get updates when I get busy.

The amount of AI resumes lately. Wild. Also, had a recruiter share with me an answer that she received where the candidate forgot to remove the prompt haha. Be vigilant out there.
