I have previously found hacksplaining.com simulations really useful when teaching about sql injection, ddos and other security risks. Now my school have blocked it from use because they don’t want students learning hacking skills. site is too detailed apparently. Opinions?

The Ofsted report for the school is published. We are rated good. I think this means they agree when we say we are doing our jobs well, but that they have not fully experienced the pain or pleasure that comes with it, and can’t really argue to come back and do it all again soon

Win of the Week. One of my Year11s who scored 2/80 on his mock paper FINALLY wrote his first working Python programme. It accepted an input and printed it. Nothing huge for most, but the most Fantastic thing for the both student and I. #winning #edutwitter #caschat #smallwins

Did an exercise with a gcse group to write as much as they can recall on a topic for 1min. Next person -add to their answer for 1min etc then grade the overall answer. One student got angry as it made no sense checking other pples work. #howWeLearn #edutwitter #caschat #AmIWrong?
