React’s commitment to backwards compatibility is insane and I wish we acknowledged that more. You can mix class components from 2015 with React Compiler FCs from today. Insane feat of engineering.

Rate my setup. This is a sit-stand desk I made out of wood. It breaks down for storage in the RV. I'm currently in the greater Miami area after driving down from Canada.

@bitandbang Too many will end up treating it as another solution in search for a problem that probably doesn’t exist. I like the advances in AI, and maybe it’s a tool I reach for in the future, but it’s going to start with the problem, not the solution

If your company requires me to work in office the majority of the time, I would only work there if I were desperate (I’m not), and only until I found something else (I would). The extra time I get with my kids instead of commuting can’t be bought
