I had created several animations on the canvas of my mind. She laughed profusely at my jokes and theatrics which inspired the confidence in me to shoot my shot. I patiently waited for right time to pause the conversation and express my feelings towards her.

I was early to rise, clearing off everything I had for the day. But would still end up late where I spotted a fuming petite damsel from a distance radiating in her caramel skinned color. There was a huge hug, quickly followed by a brief scolding and reproach.

I was excited by the pronouncement because I knew she had to return to Lagos as soon as possible. It only took a week upon her return we had scheduled to meet at the famous Ikeja City Mall.

The months ran it’s course and our busy lives will make several attempts to kill our spark, but we would keep the fire burning. She declared the long awaited service to our great nation over by colorfully painting the social media with her certification.

It broke my heart when she told me she had to return to Osun as her break then in Lagos was over. All the while I had thought she was serving in Lagos. This was because I had hoped our friendship would blossom into something more.

It continued to amazed me that a corper at a young age would have such a busy and concocted life. She had to joggle her business, PPA and NYSC.

She tried but couldn’t conceal her disgust at our poor bank services who showered her with nothing but frustrations. They refused to allow her access the grant money she won while in NYSC camp.
