The Gigabyte 5060 LP is a hot boi. This is on an open test bench with a 22° C ambient. I reduced the power down to 84% and it dropped the temp to 78° C. This is definitely going to need some PTM and an undervolt to go in a SFF case.

I was looking for a paint pen when I came across this review. I really wish Amazon still allowed you to respond to reviews... because I have some bad news for this person. The P65 warning is going to apply to pretty much all paint.

I would love it if ITX case and board manufacturers could get on the same page. A Gen4 slot on the back of the mobo doesn't do much good if it can't accommodate a cooler. This was "okay" inn the Gen3 days... it's no longer acceptable. I guess it's time for a slight trim.

People are saying that the Nitro+ having a 12v connection is a nothing burger because it doesn't pull enough power. Too bad, just like NVIDIAs cards, it doesn't do any manner of load balancing so it's entirely possible to well exceed 9.5a on two terminals, even at only 304 watts.

Hahahahaha! Look!!! They still have 10 5070s. Barely any were allocated and they still couldn't sell them all by the end of the launch day. I love seeing that people are rejecting them.

Any MSRP 9070 XT models on Newegg were instantly sold out. You have no problem buying one of the overpriced models. This launch is not looking good AMD.

I would have assumed that Sapphire was going to include load balancing circuitry in their 12V-2x6 connection on the 9070 XT Nitro+... and I'd be wrong. Perhaps that's the case with the ASRock card as well. I would avoid the Nitro+ 9070 XT for sure. youtube.com/watch?v=2HjnBy…

The 5070 reviews aren't great, obviously no 4090... not even close and the FE cards won't even be available until the middle of March. At this point I no longer believe that NVIDIA simply doesn't care about gamers, I think they are intentionally antagonizing them.

Someone told me the 3050 6GB would be slower in a SFF OptiPlex in the x4 slot than the 6400. After doing some testing, it seems it's plausible. Still, I'm going to retest with a different card as a sanity check. But it seems the Yeston SS model is the way to go in a SFF OptiPlex.

People keep saying that NVIDIA is just going to lower the 5070 Ti price and piss in AMD's cheerios. They think that the same old things are constricting supply, but the issue isn't external. It's not that NVIDIA can't keep up with demand... they've chosen not to.

People are nuts... can't get a 5070 Ti? Why not pay more money for a used 3080 Ti. That's the only explanation I have for people paying over $700 for a two generation old flagship. Makes me consider selling mine and upgrading. ebay.com/itm/2671634994…

The one good thing we can say about the 5070 Ti is that it might not have issues with melting connectors/cables. As bad as this launch is, and it's the worst one I can remember, the way things have been trending, I fully expect the 60 series to be even worse than this.

My suggestions resolve the 16-pin melting issues, because it is multiple problems: 1. Go back to Mini-Fit Jr. 2. Change keying. 3. Add a forth 12v to each 8-pin. 4. Keep same rating. 5. Split up the phases to load balance. This would solve all their issues.
