Remove the rules of 3 from your AI-generated text. Pleaseeeeeeee‼️‼️… Make it less obvious 🙏🏾 ‘She’s humble, hardworking, and loyal’ ‘He’s eager to learn, teachable, and honest’ ‘I have a calling, a dream, and a determination to excel’ AI will always write in 3s. So either remove one and make it two or add more and make it 4. Just tweak the rules of 3. Once or twice is fine. But It’s all over your texttttt 😭😭 Try reading your AI-text and see what I’m talking about. Another thing is the negation 😂😂. ‘It’s not just about about eggs, it’s about the chickens who lay them’ ‘It’s not just a business, it is a ministry’ AI will always negate before writing the main thing. Just delete the negation part and write the sentence directly. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’d leave em dashes for now. Have a great day ♥️♥️♥️
A variation to the negation point is the use of more. ‘It’s more than just a business, it is a calling to discipleship’ ‘It is not just a dog, it is man’s best friend’ These things are more noticeable than we think. It’s a bit sad too cause some people write like this on every other day. Now they risk being tagged AI.
@The_Barr_OluT I see that you put 3 examples of sentences with the rule of threes.
@The_Barr_OluT Also they should remove the comma before the and… easy to spot an AI text
@The_Barr_OluT Also, remove the word "whether". Almost every Ai text has a phrase that starts with "whether". E.g: "whether it's a product or service, the goal is to prioritise innovation" 😂😂 That 'whether' makes it so obvious 😩
@The_Barr_OluT Then there is ".... but here's the twist" 😂
This is such a crucial observation. Everyone feels the "AI sameness" but can't always pinpoint why. You've nailed two of the biggest tells. Let's level it up. Here’s the advanced cheat sheet to sound 100% human: 1. Beyond the Rule of Three: Use Emotional Contrast. AI lists traits. Humans contrast them. · Instead of: "She's humble, hardworking, and loyal." · Try: "She's got a quiet humility, but a relentless drive that makes her incredibly loyal." (See? No list. It's a story now). 2. Kill the "Not Just... It's About..." Framing. You're 100% right. This is AI's favorite crutch for sounding "profound." Just state the thing with conviction. · Instead of: "It's not just a business, it's a ministry." · Try: "We're building a ministry—and it operates like a precision business." (Direct and powerful). 3. The Secret Weapon: Add a Sensory Detail. AI lives in the abstract. Humans live in the physical world. Anchor the statement with one sense. · Instead of: "I have a calling, a dream, and a determination to excel." · Try: "This dream keeps me up at night—the sheer determination to excel is a fire I can practically smell." (Smell? AI would never). This is how you move from correct text to compelling text. Follow me for more daily writing tricks to de-AI your content and connect with humans, not algorithms.
@The_Barr_OluT And there is I who writes in 3s before AI became mainstream. I have been accused of writing like AI multiple times and I find it amusing. Also, I use emdash and paragraph spacing in WhatsApp messaging.
@The_Barr_OluT I write in 3s alot. So should I stop because AI does it too? 😆. Some of us have writing skills and we wont dumb down our skills because of AI.
@The_Barr_OluT So I should have to start tweaking how I write because AI is now writing like that? If I have to keep making mental notes to exclude some basic literary mechanism while writing so as not to sound like AI, is that not an even more dehumanising slavery to an AI master?
@The_Barr_OluT The rules of 3s are a dead giveaway. The negation is more subtle but I notice that too. Good tips.
@The_Barr_OluT Wahala for us writers who like writing in 3's
@The_Barr_OluT So sad we now live in a world where smart marketers who are just on their own practicing money printing principles have to change because of an inanimate object 😭
@The_Barr_OluT Did one just now and spotted the 3s. I think it comes up only when it generates a full text summary.
@The_Barr_OluT This is why i encourage chat gpt and grammarlly...both of them no gree o...cos grammarlly will always correct chat gpt
@The_Barr_OluT Honestly, some of us have always written like this before AI. For me, the 3s is for depth. That combination just makes me feel like I'm hitting the point harder. It just makes sense. I didn't even know it's now an AI thing before this post.
@The_Barr_OluT Funny how I’ve always used the rules of 3 and em dashes. Not AI making us lose a part of ourselves in bits. 😅
@The_Barr_OluT This is true, but can be unfair at the same time. I'm an English Language student, this rule of 3 is one of the main writing tropes I've picked up over the years, according to some scholars, it makes your work seem more intellectual and complete, so it's something I...
@The_Barr_OluT And when it adapts to writing in 2s? We switch to 1s? How far can we run? You can believe whatever, but AI imitates humans first, it will continue to. We can't continue to shift ground for it.
@The_Barr_OluT Instead of looking for syntactic patterns in differentiating between AI and human writing, I think you should be looking for soul and character Encourage people to be better writers instead of focusing on finding the AI writing
@The_Barr_OluT Meanwhile some people writes naturally like that. It's nice to know sha 👍
@The_Barr_OluT Looks like the disadvantage of this helpful tool now is totally changing our writing tone, which is so wrong.
@The_Barr_OluT Omg, these 'rules' and flags aren't always an indicator of AI-generated text or whatever. 🤦🏼♀️ You do know that AI was trained on actual people's writings, no? You can't just say that a text is ai-generated because of this and nothing more.
