I’ve been thinking lately of how important it is to pass my family history down to the generations after me. Digital is great but there is nothing like pen and a notebook to write it out. Ask those questions while they are alive. Journaling - Day 87

This pitchfork belonged to my Grannie Harrelson. I bought a handle for it 4 or 5 years ago and brought it back to life. My uncle Donald gave me the lantana a few years ago. I trimmed it back Sat. and used the pitchfork to move it to the compost pile. Treasure

I stayed with my granny Harrelson one night at the Dothan Medical Center a few days before she passed away in 1983. I asked her that night if I could do anything for her. She said in her weak voice would you read me my favorite passage Psalms 121? Priceless!

My Granny Pate was a hoot! She wrote this on the back of a ministers business card many years ago! “This man came to try out for our Church, he said hello 71 times. He didn’t get the church.” I guess they said hello back and goodbye. 😂

This bottle of olive oil belonged to my Granny Harrelson. There is no telling what all she anointed with it. It sat on a shelf in her small living room. I wanted it as a reminder of my inheritance after she passed in 1983. I’ve had it for 42 years. Treasure

This was in the early 70’s. He was not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and to spread his word. I can still hear the sound of the crackling of the needle on the 45 record that started his daily open air broadcast.

My great grandfather Dan Daughtry would preach and pipe music from a loud speaker mounted atop of his windmill every evening thru the countryside from a make shift studio in part of his barn. Oh the memories that flood my soul today! He had signs everywhere.

Out of the 8 grandsons, 3 Pastor churches in Alabama! Oh the seeds of revival my Grannie planted in that little pray house. She had no idea while on her knees on a little farm that her prayers would spread God’s word globally.

This was my Granny Harrelson’s prayer house at the edge of the woods in AL. Many prayers were prayed and answered. I remember it was such a reverent place. She was poor but she was rich in the Lord! At least 8 grandsons ministers! Artist Ken Daughtry!

God is pouring out his Spirit. Alter workers seminar last night at Tampa Life with David Smith. 4 received the Holy Ghost including children and a guest of a TL member who came! Looking for many more to be filled and baptized today!

I have been reading books on prayer lately. E.M Bound Power through Prayer “Air is not more necessary to the lungs than prayer is to the preacher.” This applies to saints too!

I picked this book up at a library sale two weeks ago. This has been a great read so far. It was written in 2002 by Jim Grassi but it is still relevant for today.
