The federal carbon tax is not working for Nova Scotians. I'm joining Premiers across the country in calling on the Prime Minister to convene a First Ministers' meeting to discuss the impact of the carbon tax on our economy and Nova Scotians.
@TimHoustonNS @PierrePoilievre Pricing pollution is an important way to control carbon emissions and reduce the impact of Global Warming. Nova Scotia gets more hurricanes every year. Statements like this are fundamentally irresponsible to every Nova Scotian. #NSpoli #NovaScotia
@TimHoustonNS You’re not working for Nova Scotians, and you were a Conservative implementation as well, sometimes we don’t get what we want, remember wildfires last year? #HoustonIsTheProblem towing party lines, not here for NS
@TimHoustonNS @PierrePoilievre Didnt you already do this and he said no, that he had a meeting with them in 2016 When are you actually going to stand up for Nova Scotia and just tell the federal government to stuff it up their arse Grow a pair already
@TimHoustonNS So far, 46 countries are pricing emissions through carbon taxes or emissions trading schemes (ETS) and others are considering it. Globally, ETSs and carbon taxes cover 30 percent of emissions, with prices rising as high as $90 per ton (in the European Union). Source: google.
@TimHoustonNS Simple solution: Come up with your own damn plan! Nova Scotia only has carbon tax because YOU didn't come up with one, despite being given ample time.. #FactsMatter
@TimHoustonNS Not working for who???? DID YOU EVEN ASK US?!!!??? ITS NEEDED
@TimHoustonNS @RickPerkinsMP If only @Dave_Eby had all BC peoples interest at heart and would look at his unfair wealth transfer tax here!
@TimHoustonNS The performative nonsense continues 🤦♂️
@TimHoustonNS Have you asked us, you know, the citizens you represent what we think? I fully support the CT. Stop playing juvenile politics and focus on housing, education and healthcare.
