NLE nineholer, in what May have been the most urban golf course in America the Metro golf center at lower Wacker and LSD in Chicago. Designed by PB DYE and only open for 7 years 94-01. Looks like he had 17th sawgrass replica as well.

The most northerly course in the lower 48, and it is 9 holes with sand greens on the geographic oddity called the angle inlet in MN. Only way to enter is by boat through lake of the woods or drive through Canada. A pure fisherman’s oasis with a golf course to scratch the itch.
I like quirky and 9 hole courses and this is both Gateway Cities golf club in Portal, ND, and North Portal, Canada. Its clubhouse and the first tee box are in the U.S., and the ninth green is also on American soil. Also 8 sand greens and 1 grass green.

Finding a 5 hole park district course 15 minutes from my house that I never knew existed is the perfect lunch hour getaway. What a perfect place for kids and adults (who don’t care about par and course conditions). Live by the motto just get out and play motto
