If I’m paying ₹8,000 this year including 18% GST for health insurance, and next year I pay the same amount with 0% GST. Mark my words, the insurance company will increase the policy prices. Just like adding 20% ethanol to petrol doesn’t make the fuel cheaper.

Problem is in India lot of people doesn't pay income tax or escape from taxes except transparent income people. Govt doesn't have way except levying GST, though it is painful

Since companies can't increase prices of goods and services now just like during Covid time, their opportunity is rise of consumption rather than price hike. Probably, this is the reason why Govt would have choosen to boost consumption, nil income tax upto 12 lakhs income etc
