Don't overinduldge on healthy foods. Too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing.
Try eliminating empty calories such as juices with too much sugar or sodas. Replace them with real food or water with lemon.
Diet soda is not the best thing to drink. It actually makes you feel more hungry and crave carbs. Stay away from it.
Eat on smaller plates. You will be less tempted to over indulge. But also remember no second servings.
Don't eat fast. Slow down and take your time. The stomach takes 15 minutes to realize that it is full.
Eat more fruit. A person who eats enough fruit in their diet does not crave sweets as much.
When you eat at a restaraunt, only eat half and take the rest home for lunch the next day. Servings size at restaraunts are huge.
Don't eat in front of the television. Concentrate on what you are eating so you can realize when you are full.
If you want to satisfy your craving for choclate, have dark choclate. Its healthier and also contains less sugar that milk choclate.
When you excercise, do something you love so you won't get bored. Ex. surfing, swimming, kickboxing, hiking, yoga.
When ordering a pizza, try to put as many veggies on it and less meat. Also get thin crisp rather than pan pizza. It is a lot less bread.
If you want a cookie, have one.But make sure not to have the whole box. Don't deny yourself because the more you deny, the more you want.
Try getting a friend or relative to be your health buddy. Excercise is much more fun when you have somebody to go with.
When you eat pizza, dab the pizza with a paper towel. It will save you calories by taking off the oil.
Try packing your lunch rather than dining out. This way you know exactly what is in your lunch.
Walk around when you're talking on the phone rather than sitting down. It's a simple way to burn calories

The biggest misconception when dieting is the less you eat, the more you lose. This is not true. Make sure to have 6 small meals a day.
Add dairy to your daily diet. It can raise your metabolism. So eat more yougurt and drink more milk (non-fat).
Watch your alcohol intake. It can slow your metabolism and also add too many calories too your diet.
