I hate to say this, but Spur ribs aren't as good as they used to be 💔

@Tokyo_Trev Please try the Spur in Carlswald. I also had this problem but I’ve found my Joburg Spur that does them really well like the good old days
@Tokyo_Trev Ngathi they just boil them and then add sauce on top for flavour
@Tokyo_Trev It’s even worse if you order on Ubereats or Mr. D. They make sure they give you the oldest ribs! 💔

@Tokyo_Trev @SpurRestaurant, The Glen Mall & Compromise crossings, the ribs are overly frozen, then half cooked, not oven baked then a lot of sauce is put on it, when you bite, is one big regret I once returned them to be redone & it's just not fun

@Tokyo_Trev I find that the Spurs in cape town have better ribs...the ones around Gauteng aren't cutting it at all.

@Tokyo_Trev The ones at @SpurRestaurant suncity are the wirst of the worst!!!! We spent so much on boiled food with some sauce ontop highly disappointing

@Tokyo_Trev Their sauce now has this terrible after taste. Like parafin. I stopped eating ribs for 7 years so last year I decided to eat them. Biggest regret. This year I tried a different branch. Same thing.
@Tokyo_Trev All the food is bad....at first I thought nostalgia was messing with me...until my daughter said the food is trash.
@Tokyo_Trev I had spur ribs in Durban 🥹 next was Gateway and next was Pavilion and after these three places I just knew I've tried 😞😭 it's been years now since I ever went there.
@Tokyo_Trev I think it also depends on the place. I had stopped eating at Spur because of bad experiences. Went to Spur Cradlestone mall and found the best ribs I had ever had.
