I love this term: "luck surface area" He's right; even though these days you're going to get the most bang for your buck by focusing on platforms (I say with a bit of a grumble), investing some time in building your own website is worth it for this reason.

@TomFrankly I used this term recently with friends irl and they looked at me like I was insane
@TomFrankly Every creator needs a website. It's like owning your own piece of digital real estate.
@TomFrankly It’s personal real estate where you can showcase why others should be interested in you. It allows you to go into greater depth than other social platforms (hence why it provides greater luck surface area). Just remember to have a contact page on the website. 😉
@TomFrankly Can my personal site just be me jamming tho x.com/justinmooretfa…

@TomFrankly It’s also incredibly fun as a bonus 😎
@TomFrankly Just makes me think of a quote from Seneca, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” Couldn't be more true. Luck surface area = preparation six ways 'til Sunday.
