Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel held a big welcome for the Transition School interns this week. Student interns are eager to learn valuable employability skills at the hotel. Looking forward to a great year!
Marriott Grande Lakes/Ritz Carlton celebrated the Transition School Interns this week. We are thankful to the amazing HR department and hotel staff that made this a successful experience for all the interns this year!
Interns from Burlington OBT, AgriStarts, Marriott Grande Lakes, and Health Central Park volunteered in park clean up at Turkey Lake Park. The interns enjoyed working in teams together!
Interns from Burlington OBT and Colonial Marketplace participated in mock interviews with a special guest - Althene Powell. Interns practiced interview questions with their peers and wore interview attire.
Transition School interns from AgriStarts and Health Central Park learn about community resources and social emotional wellness while collaborating at Leu Gardens.
Transition School student interns from Burlington Colonial Marketplace and OBT enjoyed a day in the community learning how to navigate public transportation. Students used the Lynx bus and SunRail to travel to Winter Park.
Transition school interns from Burlington Colonial Marketplace learned about community resources from Vocational Rehabilitation representatives Claudia and Aurora. Learning more to prepare for the future!
