I find it interesting that some who celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, as a counterpoint to Columbus’s wrongdoings, assume indigenous cultures were free of violence or conflict. This overlooks the complexity of human history, where many societies, including indigenous ones, engaged in ruthless warfare and other savage behaviors.
@TrumpDailyPosts So glad to hear this. I had a store in Cleveland's Little Italy, and those people loved Christopher Columbus. They have a parade every year, and the last few years, they've had to put up with people defacing the statue and trying to stop it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
