That leftover cooking oil might seem harmless, but FOG is a major threat to our water system. When you pour FOG down the sink, it cools and hardens in the pipes, creating massive blockages that can cause sewage backups in your home and environmental pollution.
Save water & follow City code! Hosing down driveways, sidewalks, streets, parking lots and building exteriors is prohibited. Use a broom or leaf blower instead. Questions? Contact Municipal Services at 209-668-5590.

🌧️ When Mother Nature waters, we wait! Please remember that there’s no outdoor watering while raining and within 48 hours following measurable rainfall.
Properly dispose of your game day food scraps by placing them in your GREEN cart or add them to your compost pile. If you’re interested in starting your own compost, we have FREE kitchen compost bins available. Complete an application available on our City’s website.
Did you know your sprinkler system has a magic button called Rain Delay? It skips watering when it’s raining, prevents overwatering, saves water and money, keeps your lawn perfectly hydrated. Most systems let you set 24-72 hour delays and it’s easy to activate on the controller.
