Seriously @shaunking can’t you see how dumb this is? Gaza is (was) a city with the population of Boston, crammed into 1/3 the space. IDF utterly devastated it in one week, but despite massive wreckage, 99% survived that. Not exactly what “indiscriminate killing” would look like.

At risk of stating the obvious ... this is the whole purpose of options. Clubs have the option to use a guy in the majors or minors, during that early/mid transitional period of their careers. He's got three option years, this is only the first one, may well be the only one.
