Advice I’ve given to many portcos recently: - Set an emergency button 🚨 - Make it objective, so that the default option is the desired action - Trigger could be runway threshold or user growth # or revenue run rate - Action could be layoffs, fundraise, change product approach

If you don’t have at least 15 months of runway, you’ll need to let people go – and the earlier you do it, the better. The worst thing you can do is start with a small round of layoffs, only to make a second round of cuts – it will kill morale and essentially cause more harm.
