that this is a result of poor communication from our gate agent and/or his manager, we altered our schedule, thinking that we were accommodating American Airlines and the other passengers who needed to get out early. Because of our flexibility, ..... @AmericanAir

When I approached the gate agent who told us we were ok to leave, admitted that he hadn't been very clear and that it was his fault, but his supervisor wouldn't budge and refused to help us sort this out in any way or provide us with the promised vouchers. While we understand ...

...and the plane was already supposed to have left, we were unable to pass through the checkpoint again, and were informed later that as a result, we had to forfeit our vouchers and still fly standby later on in the day.... @AmericanAir
