Not recruiting more DBs and edge rushers in the transfer portal was a bad decision - Through 2 games we have yet to see an edge rusher win a 1-on-1 to pressure the qb - For some reason our DBs seem unprepared for the moment and get exposed against athletic receivers
Final thoughts: After the 22 season Traylor could have hired anybody he wanted in the G5 but decided to promote in house Burke and resign Loepp. we are now reaping the consequences of not getting great coaches and seeing mediocre results all because of bullshit "loyalty"
With all that being said it could be worse.... we could be the Florida Gators...
Neither Greg Luca nor JJ Perez directly asked about major play calling decisions in the post game presser If there is anyone with a local media presence that can respectfully ask about play calling I would love to endorse them

We have too much talent on offense for Justin Burke to be skidding like this, Traylor needs to have some reflection on his staff
Justin Burke is not a quality OC coordinator Outside of Jimmy Wyrick, our safeties are not scholarship quality Outside of Davin Martin, our CBs are not scholarship quality Coach Traylor cannot rely on generational OCs like Will Stein anymore So what will he do?
Coach Traylor’s reputation gave us an opportunity to hire prodigies at both the OC and DC position but because of Traylor’s “loyalty” we are now a step behind our peers and both the OC and DC are average compared to our peers

Ozowalu is the next great UTSA rusher, very impressed by him
