Today, the Permanent Secretary of MINUBUMWE, @Emahoro1, welcomed a delegation of thirty-four (34) members from the Leadership Centre of the State of Qatar, who are on a seven-day visit to Rwanda. Their discussions centered on Rwanda’s experience in promoting social cohesion, reconciliation, and National Unity. He explained how the Government of Rwanda prioritizes National Unity by preserving historical facts and educating the youth on cultural values and Rwandan heritage. He emphasized the importance of keeping the memory of the Genocide against the Tutsi, and combating the spread of genocide ideology both in the region and on social media. He also reiterated the significance of the Ndi Umunyarwanda program, which places National Unity above individual backgrounds, underscoring that unity is essential to ensuring the sustainability of Rwanda’s development.
