As a Senator, I introduced the first resolution to recognize Black Maternal Health Week. During this week, we lift up Black women's voices, share their stories, and recommit to saving lives by addressing this urgent health care crisis.
@VP Amazing. I’ll never forget when I was in the ICU screaming for help when delivering my baby. The RN looked at me, and stated, and I’ll NEVER FORGET, she said: “I’m not helping you. You’re black. I need to help this white lady. Get to the back of the bus”
@VP Is the care they receive at the hospital any different based on the color of their skin?
@VP Interesting, considering you don’t even know what a woman is and are a staunch supporter of abortion which primarily targets and affects women of color. Peak democrat hypocrisy.
@VP The #1 cause of a pregnant woman’s death from pregnancy/childbirth is hemorrhaging, but there are no numbers of blacks vs whites vs Hispanics vs Asians etc that die from this. Where did you get your numbers from?
