It's our 90th birthday today @VanArtLibrary ! To mark this special occasion, here's the 1931 floor plan of our original 1145 Georgia St. building, when the Library was in the Board Room. We're now at 50,000+ volumes and feeling pretty spry for 90. #CanadianArt #artlibraries

While doing some research on Vancouver artist Chuck Wing Yip (1923-2009), we came across this wonderful image in Canadian Art, spring 1956. Yip stated: "Each painting has its seed in the one that went before it." #CanadianArt #BCartists
