Successfully upgraded to Fedora Linux 40 (KDE Plasma Desktop) on my 10 year old MacBook! #F40 #KDE. And yes, it wouldn't be Linux if I didn't have to reinstall a few drivers...! 🐧

Q: What did you do on your birthday? A: installed Fedora 39 KDE Plasma! Officially a Linux user now. Had to hunt down some missing drivers, but worth it for the full experience.

In life news: I've been revamping my homelab and making the switch to an ESXi hypervisor for all my VMs. I've been procrastinating on it, but I still have to lay down CAT 6 cables in various parts of the house, and install some more APs and another switch. 🏡💻 #TechUpgrade

Sadly, I've not found freeCAD the easiest to learn despite the obvious benefits of it being free and open source. For now, I've resorted back to SolidWorks which is just so intuitive! The only real CAD/CAM experience I've had is with Catia V5 from when I was a student (2008-2012)

SMS 2FA is NOT secure. You're not losing anything. Yes, terrible....really terrible messaging, but Twitter is making you more secure by forcing you off SMS 2FA to using an MFA app. Use an MFA app. I use Dashlane for most stuff. Google authenticator and others are great too.
