Thanks to the hard work of NHS staff, today's stats show we are continuing to make progress on waiting lists. This represents the biggest 5-month fall in over 10 years outside the pandemic. Much more to do but we will stick to our plan to cut waiting lists.

@VictoriaAtkins @RishiSunak I think we would all appreciate the truth about the NHS. Politics needs to change, the public should be involved in the decisions which impact our day to day lives. Furlough, bounce back loans, Ukraine and so on. Would that money have been better going directly into services?
@VictoriaAtkins But no announcements on how to tackle the NHS cover-up culture which is widespread across the nation x.com/gmb/status/177…

@VictoriaAtkins The waiting list is actually higher than when Sunak said he'd sort it ONS says another 3 million are missing from GOV data from hidden lists for things like follow up appointments & multiple tests/investigation for the same patient
@VictoriaAtkins Ah yes wait lists going down - imagine how hard the overworked & underpaid staff are working to achieve that? Or are you employing agency staff, costing more. Or are people being given appointments (off WL) only to have those appointments postponed (again & again)? #SaveOurNHS
@VictoriaAtkins Tories patting themselves on the back for fixing their own mistakes
