Kahoot is an efficient resource to create a quick formative assessment while keeping students engaged through the use of technology. The data can also help a teacher reflect on any given lesson and address any shortcomings the next day if necessary. #FCPSDLE

Students will naturally create their own questions about a math application problem by dissecting the given information and figuring out what to do with it. Replying to their questions with more questions is the best way to support critical thinking. #FCPSDLE

My favorite resource to find alternative teachings is KhanAcademy.com. It covers every topic with great examples in short, sequential videos. YouTube is also a great way to find helpful resources. #FCPSDLE

If I could sum up CCSS in one statement with regards to math: 'We now start with the applications rather than lead up to them'. Students are encouraged to analyze what is being asked prior to completing any calculations. Unit introductions are very different. #FCPSDLE
