WHO publishes a global technical consultation report introducing updated terminology for pathogens that transmit through the air. This report is the result of an extensive, multi-year collaborative effort and reflects shared agreement on terminology between WHO, experts and four major public health agencies. The pathogens covered include those that cause respiratory infections, e.g. COVID-19, influenza, measles, Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and tuberculosis, among others. This consultation was the first phase of global scientific discussions led by WHO. Next steps include further technical and multidisciplinary research and exploration of the wider implementation implications of the updated descriptors. @WHO PLEASE Keep spraying us like bugs said no one ever.
@WHO So are fecal aerosols now infectious respiratory particles in your world?
@WHO Always was *airborne*, and you missed the chance to stop a global pandemic using the correct terminology and mitigations for an airborne disease. Safer air and respirators. We had them all along. #COVIDIsAirborne
@WHO @BogochIsaac Airborne transmission has been well known for decades, so why the "updated terminology for pathogens that transmit through air"? Could this be in preparation for the WHO treaty which will then have the power to mandate so called "vaccines" globally if they meet this definition?
@WHO Ignoring infectious respiratory particles size is ignoring a key factor in how long they stay airborne & therefore counterproductive to fine-tuning infection prevention measures
Basta!
@WHO "It depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is". 🙄
@WHO Missed the opportunity to included the "military" definition guys
