From work carried out by the ONS in 2021 ,we now know that women with learning disabilities, autism or both are 3X more likely to experience domestic abuse than their non-disabled peers 12.4% disabled of women compared to 4% in the general population. #16Days
Women with learning disabilities in the UK are at a significantly higher risk of experiencing DA compared to the general population This demographic faces unique challenges,including higher rates of abuse,more prolonged abuse, and barriers to accessing support services #16Days
