Student Rachel Abbey says: Last fall, I did a service-learning project for my BIO111 class. I tutored my peers every week at 10 am on Mondays. It really helped my peers and me with our studying, as learning online wasn't as engaging as in-person classes. @wtccstudents

Student Michael Bannon says: I formed a student-led study group with another veteran in our class. We would meet every day of the week to go over the assignments and were available for questions 24/7. We went over the material many times and mastered the material. @wtccstudents

Student Testimony: Kristie Thomas- I volunteered at the healing transitions thrift store called recovered treasures. I helped keep the items picked up & cleaned up for the customers. I took donations that were brought in and put them out on the floor. It was a great experience.

Luis Medina Martinez: I had never heard of the program until my microeconomics teacher mentioned it could be used as the final project. The Service-Learning Program helped me a lot. As a study group leader, and by helping my classmates, I could also clarify my own questions.
