Capital % and leverage are now tunable hyper-params in my C++17 backtester. One grid search maps the full risk/return landscape, so sizing trades is data-driven instead of guesswork. Backtest results match TradingView bit-for-bit.

The $STX / $USDT pair works well with Crossover strategies. Here’s an example: Entry: Golden cross between MA(29) and MA(51), and MA(177) is bullish. Exit: Take profit at 7% and stop loss at 8.5% (at candle close, not in real-time), or at a death cross. It has potential. #Stacks

When sorting my backtest results by profit, I calculate: 𝚜𝚚𝚛𝚝(𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚏𝚒𝚝) or -𝚜𝚚𝚛𝚝(𝚊𝚋𝚜(𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚜)) for each trade. This method helps reduce the impact of extreme values and provides a more balanced view of profitability.

$AVAX volatility means a simple WMA(11)/WMA(12) crossover strategy has over 53% wins since Jan 2021 (with a significant max drawdown). TradingView overestimates profits, not accounting for the substantial slippage at death crosses, typically on red candles.
